HAUS helps PG, hostel and rental owners manage beds, tenants, rent and maintenance, and gives their residents a portal. This page explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Owners: name, business name, email, phone, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash) or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google.
- Properties and residents that owners add: names, phone numbers, emails, rooms, rent, deposits, charges, payments, move-in and move-out dates.
- Issues and photos that owners or residents upload.
- KYC documents (for example ID cards) that owners or residents upload. ID numbers are shown masked, and the images are visible only to that resident and their PG owner.
Sign in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID, and use them only to sign you in and to match you to your HAUS account. We don’t request access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data.
How we use data
- To run the service: show dues, record payments, track issues, and let residents see their own details.
- To send login links or codes you ask for.
- We don’t sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
An owner sees the data for their own properties and residents. A resident sees only their own records and their building’s notices. Our hosting providers (Vercel for the app, Railway for the database) store data on our behalf.
Keeping and deleting data
Data is kept while the owner’s account is active. Owners can edit or delete records at any time. To delete an account or ask about your data, email sharsha2407@gmail.com.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), sessions use signed cookies, and login links are single-use and expire.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
